One of the favorite features of our old website was this video from Professor James Duane. It is quite eye-opening. The bottom line is: it is never ever a good idea to talk to the police.
I do make an exception to the professor’s blanket rule, and that is in cases of self defence. I plan to discuss that more fully in a later post, but the short of it is that in a self defense case, the burden of proof is on you.
